Focal length of lens: 600mm
Shutter speed: 1/2000
The effect of shooting at this shutter speed is to capture what is happening that second.
Aperture: f/4.0
The effect of shooting at this aperture is to keep everything in focus including the background.
I think Rosato was standing behind the home plate and managed to zoom in and capture this amazing photo.

enlarging a negative

I cleaned my negatives with a chemical called photo flow for 15 secs., because they had water spots. Then I loaded my negative into the enlarger and made sure it was in focus. After that we made a test strip with four different timings to see how much time it would take to make a good ex poser. After that we set the timer on the correct timing and made a enlargement.

Negatives

My negatives did not have too much problems, just a couple of water splotches. Which can be easily fixed by soaking them in a chemical. The best picture i took was the one of myself because i caught a smile.

Filling the frame

This is a candid photo. It does not have any dead space. The swimmer is showing a facal expression that says he is gasping for a deep breath of air so that he can keep going and win

Action and Emotion

I think that this picture shows both action and emotion. His face expression shows the pain he is felling while he is wrestling.

The Story

The story being told in this photo is victory. It absolutely fills the frame. Happiness is definitely shown in this photo. The only problem with this photo is that it is not a candid photo.

I love this picture! and it is not only because I am a sucker for black and white photos, it really captures the eye. It's mysterious...
I love the angel the photo was taken at, it elongated the room.

This picture on the other hand was not so eye appealing.
It is candid, but it is very difficult to understand what the main object of the photo is.

There is lots of dead space in this photo.
It doesn't seem to capture any character because it lacks signs of emotion.
It is also somewhat blurry.

This picture fills the frame

in it's entirety-it's priceless!
It would be pretty tough
to get another picture like this.
It's definitely candid.
